Amit Singh Raises $34,000 in Less Than a Month
Arlington, Virginia — On Monday, the Amit Singh Congressional Campaign announced they had surpassed their fundraising goal for the month of March, having raised more than $34,000 in the month. Their goal had been to raise $25,000 by March 31st.
"There has been an overwhelming response by the people of Northern Virginia," said Singh. "People are unhappy with the candidates they're being offered and want someone who truly believes in limited government and fiscal responsibility."
Singh has run on a platform of open government and straightforward answers. The campaign displays their fundraising numbers on the front page of their Web site, www.Amit08.com. Viewers to the site can see updated figures regarding how much the campaign has raised.
"Amit Singh has proven he is the only candidate capable of issuing a real challenge to Jim Moran in November," said Campaign Manager Steve Bierfeldt. "Amit's message of limited government and responsible fiscal decisions is something which can reach out to republicans, independents, and even some democrats."
On Friday, April 4th the Amit Singh campaign will officially announce Singh's candidacy, on the steps of the Alexandria courthouse. The event is open to the public and all members of the press, and will be followed by a cocktail reception at the Fish Market on King Street.
